For those not familiar with this term, Casas Particulares are similar to European and North American B&B's; private family establishments that provide paid lodging. A Casa Particular may be a room in a private residence, a studio or even an apartment. Casas Particulares can be recognized by a small sign on the door, with two blue triangles ("roofs") against a white background, which the owners obtain after paying a fixed per-room annual tax.

Flexi Fly & Drive is another unique option offered when you select to stay at Casas Particlares.
A number of Casas Particulares are registered as Flexi Hotels. Car rental rates are based on the category and length of stay. The car insurance and drop off are included in the rates; extra driver and gas are not included and a deposit must be paid at the local rent a car office.
